The Império do Espírito Santo da Grota do Medo, is located in the parish of Posto Santo, municipality of Angra do Heroísmo, located in Largo da Grota do Medo.
It was built in the third quarter of the 20th century, in 1960. This brotherhood celebrates the cult of the Divine Holy Spirit in July, normally in the third week of this month.
Sometimes, on Saturdays, as part of this festive celebration, there is a rope bullfight and some cultural or recreational activity.
On Sunday, the procession of the Holy Spirit, accompanied by a philharmonic, goes to the parish church, where a festive mass is celebrated, followed by a coronation. After this liturgical act, the procession returns to the empire accompanied by the philharmonic.
At the end of the afternoon, the piles are extracted for the following year.
On Mondays, there is a rope bullfight in this place.
