The festive program of this empire is extensive, which is why it is customary to include a series of activities of a religious and cultural nature.

The “going to fetch the wine” from Biscoitos is also part of this, which usually takes place on the Thursday before the first bodo and on Pentecost Sunday a mass is said for the souls of the deceased brothers, followed by the distribution of the bodo – bread and wine–by the brethren of the empire.

On the Monday of Espírito Santo, Day of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, it is customary to have, in the evening, a cultural activity, which may be the performance of a musical group or an artist invited for this purpose.

During this week there is the recitation of the rosary in the empire, in which the brothers and all those who wish to do so participate. Still within the scope of cultural activities, as long as possible, there may be challenging singing, a rope bullfight and a bullfight for the children.

On the Saturday that precedes Trinity Sunday, a rope bullfight takes place in the late afternoon.

On the last day, that is, on the Sunday of the second bodo, the festive mass is held, followed by the coronation.
