The Império do Espírito Santo dos Marítimos, in the parish of Santa Cruz, Praia da Vitória, was built in 1877 in Largo José Silvestre Ribeiro, where the Chapel of São Pedro Gonçalves previously stood. This brotherhood celebrates the feast in honor of the Holy Spirit on Trinity Sunday. Despite limited resources and a small number of brothers, the procession of the Holy Spirit takes place on Trinity Sunday, followed by a festive mass and coronations. The following Saturday, a bullfighting event occurs as part of the festivities.
