The Império do Espírito Santo de São Brás, is located in the parish of São Brás, in the municipality of Praia da Vitória, in the Largo da Igreja of the mentioned parish. Founded in 1875 and rebuilt in 1956, this empire celebrates the worship of the Divine Holy Spirit on the two Sundays of the Bodo – Pentecost and Trinity. In São Brás, it is on the two Sundays of the Bodo that the roles for the following year are drawn. After the Solemn Coronation Mass on these Sundays, bread and wine are blessed and distributed to those present. In the afternoon, in the churchyard, there is a fair with the typical “bodo” carts, where snacks, sweet bread, and wine are served.
